The Short Loan collection is where we keep print books, journals and DVDs that are on Course Resources reading lists, or are needed by large numbers of students. As these are always in high demand, the loan limit is either 2 hours or 3 days.

  • A '2Hr' in front of the call number denotes a 2 hour loan.
  • A '3Day' in front of the call number denotes a 3 day loan.

Renewals: You can usually renew items as long as no one else has requested them (for more information on borrowing limits and renewals see our membership page).

  • 2 hour loans (and short loan DVDs) may be renewed once and are for use on-campus, with a limit of two items per person.
  • 3 day loans maybe be renewed up to 5 times.

Short Loans are located at:

  • City (ki Waihorotiu): Level 4 behind the Library Help Desk.
  • North (ki Akoranga): Level 1 to the right of the Library Help Desk
  • South (ki Manukau): The first shelves of the book collection
