          1. Use your browser of choice (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) to search AUT Library through Library Search.

          2. Refine results (on the left of the results screen) by Source Types and tick ‘eBooks’. If you cannot see eBooks listed, click 'Show More'.

          3. Click on the Online Access link under a book:

Note: If you're off-campus, you may be asked to enter your AUT network login now.

4.  With most e-books you'll then see a page like this:

5. The best option for reading offline is to download a chapter PDF. Chapter PDFs are searchable, selectable, include a citation and do not expire. You can read them on any device that supports PDF file types – which includes most tablets, phones and other mobile devices – without needing to install any extra software. After 24 hours, you will be able to download another chapter.

6. You can then transfer Chapter PDF files between devices in whatever way your device supports file sharing (email, save to the cloud, AirDrop, etc.).

AUT Library's guide https://library.aut.ac.nz/how-to-library/find-ebooks has more information to help you find and read ebooks (from the AUT Library homepage, click on 'how to library' > 'Find ebooks')
