Answer

Linking Course Resources lists to Blackboard requires three conditions to be satisfied:

  • Your list must be published
  • Your lists must be attached to the hierarchy in Course Resources with the matching course code
  • Your list must have a current time period in Course Resources to match the course in Blackboard*.

To publish your list, log in to Course Resources, go to My lists to select the list you wish to publish and in the Actions menu, select Publish. Alternatively, you can open the list, select Edit list in the Edit menu and click the Publish button that appears at the right of the screen.

To attach your list to the hierarchy, log in to Course Resources, go to My lists and open the list you wish to work with. In the Edit menu, select Link to hierarchy then start typing the course name or course code into the search box until you have identified the correct COURSE "node" to link your list to. Select this and make the link.

Time period instructions. If you have a new list, log in to Course Resources, go to My lists and open the list you wish to work with. In the Edit menu, select Set time period and you will find a drop-down menu of semesters and terms. Select the correct one for your course and click Save.

*If you have an existing list that has expired, follow the instructions to re-use an existing list. Note: If you simply change the time period on an existing list, there will be no archive of past versions for you or previous students to refer to and any digitised content will not be carried over.
